Card Layout Challenge #47

Card Layout #47

We are nearing the end of the 10th anniversary of OSA and our celebration of it with the weekly challenge.  The group has decided to continue with the weekly challenges for next year.  I have agreed to continue them, but I would like the membership to get involved by sending me card layouts. If you’re interested in doing so, you may send me a scan of your design or you may mail them to me.

In the meantime, here is this week’s challenge.  The dark are layers.  Let’s see what you can do!

I invite you to create a card using this week’s challenge. Upload it to your personal photo album.  This can be an OSA gallery album, an OSA Yahoo! Photo album, Flickr, PictureTrail, etc.  Then post a link to your artwork HERE in the comments section when you have completed our challenge.  Or, you can also post a link to your artwork on OSA. Come back on Sunday to see who has taken the challenge this week!

Do you want your design featured?  Just email me (Sonia E.) your original design and you will be featured in an upcoming challenge this year!

Enjoy!

The Thanksgiving holidays must have prevented the creating of art this week.  We only had a few takers for our challenge this week, BUT, great works of art!

Enjoy!

This is such an interesting layout, I can’t wait to see what you can do with it.  Unfortunately, I do not have the name of the member who sent this to me, so I can’t give credit to anyone at this time.  If you do recognize this layout as your own, please email me privately and I’ll update this blog with your name!

These cards are excellent examples of how a very simple design can be used to create such striking artwork.  Enjoy as you have your morning coffee!

This week and next week, we will have a BACK TO BASICS design.  I thought after two challenging designs, I’d give you all a break and do something a little less complex.  Don’t be fooled by its simplicity.  Great complex artwork can be created using this design.

Wasn’t this week a challenge?  Well, some ladies decided to raise their sleeves and tackle it!  Enjoy these lovely creations.

Card Layout Challenge #44

This week, our very own Annette submitted this design.  I am thinking perhaps using paper scraps, using the tile technique (Technique Junkies), or just drawing lines and coloring/painting them.  Be creative and let’s see you what you can do with this layout. It’s not as complicated as you might think!!

The letters indicated the color/paper pattern.

There were very few cards this week. I guess the challenge was too challenging or perhaps ’tis the season with so much going on.  Take a look at the beautiful work.  Notice that some members chose not to cut the papers in the shape shown, but used ribbons to make it look as if the shapes were cut.  I thought that was pretty clever.

Enjoy!

Card Layout Challenge #43

Many years ago, I made a card using this design.  It was not easy, but it turned out beautifully.  I challenge you to create something with these puzzle pieces-like design.  Good luck!

This week’s card layout was a bit different.  A number of our members took the challenge and created wonderful things. All have inspired me to create a card with this design as soon as I am able to!  Feast your eyes on these lovelies!
