Card Layout Challenge #174

This week’s challenge is not a layout challenge, but a technique challenge.  I’d like for you to make a card using a napkin.  The napkin can be oriental, but does not have to be.  Easy to find at the dollar store. It should compliment the rubber stamp used on the oriental card you’re making.  Yes, there should be stamping somewhere on the card, even if it is a word.

In 2004, I held a class on making oriental cards with napkins.  Unfortunately, there are no written directions as my former computer crashed with all the goodies.  HOWEVER, OSA does have the images I used for that class.  Go here to see the step-by-step pictures.  They are not in order, but I will do so as soon as I can. Go here and here to view other oriental cards made with napkins.

Need a napkin? Email me or Annette.  We just might send you a napkin or two.

Card Layout Challenge #173

This week’s design is a window card. The oval window shows an image which has been stamped on the inside. The window has a layered edge…a good time to use your die-cuts. Perhaps you could you your embossing folders to create a design on the cover of the outside. Experiment and let’s see what you can do.

Card Layout Challenge #172

SUPER QUICK CARD TODAY!!!  I didn’t have a lot of participation last week, so I thought I’d have a SUPER QUICK CARD challenge this week.  The hardest and will take the longest will be deciding on what paper(s) and embellishments to use!  This might be a good card to make with scraps, BUT the main layer panel should be a paper with a design (not rubber stamped).  The sentiment should be stamped.
