Card Layout Challenge #226

This week’s challenge is inspired by a card made by Jo Pritchard and sent to Lynda Jorgenson waaayyy back in 2006.  The card is long and narrow (portrait).  Please do not change the direction of this card.  Your task is to create a card with this basic design.  Optional are the embellishments such as the disk under the card and the gingko leaf on the lower right.  Everything else should be reflected in your card.

****Remember, your card design must be oriental in nature. There must be at least one stamped item on your card.

I invite you to create a card using this week’s challenge. Upload it to your personal photo album.  This can be an OSA gallery album, an OSA Yahoo! Photo album, Flickr, PictureTrail, etc.  Then post a link to your artwork HERE in the comments section when you have completed our challenge.  Or, you can also post a link to your artwork on OSA. Come back on Sunday to see who has taken the challenge this week!

Do you want your design featured?  Just email me (Sonia E.) your original design and you will be featured in an upcoming challenge this year!

Card Layout Challenge #225

This week’s card layout is inspired by a card made quite a number of a few years ago by Rosemary Lam. In fact, I found it on OSA Archives!

Let’s see what you can do with this design.

Card Layout Challenge #223

This week will be a quick challenge!  Since I have a ton of books on my nightstand waiting to be picked up and read, I have bookmarks on my mind!  Therefore, I want you to make an oriental paper corner bookmark.  Yes, last week you made a pop-up as part of the criss-cross card challenge that, perhaps, you could use as a bookmark.  This week’s challenge bookmark is small, can be easy to do, and easy to send as a RAK!  You can even use your small scraps to complete this challenge!

Let’s see some samples.
