Card Layout Challenge #246

This week is Halloween in the United States.  I love the orange and black combination associated with Halloween.  Your task is to create an ASIAN card with those two colors.  To help you get inspired, here is a card made with those two colors.  The card is from the Left Field Studio blog.

****Remember, your card design must be oriental in nature. There must be at least one stamped item on your card.

I invite you to create a card using this week’s challenge. Upload it to your personal photo album.  This can be an OSA gallery album, an OSA Yahoo! Photo album, Flickr, PictureTrail, etc.  Then post a link to your artwork HERE in the comments section when you have completed our challenge.  Or, you can also post a link to your artwork on OSA. Come back on Sunday to see who has taken the challenge this week!

Do you want your design featured?  Just email me (Sonia E.) your original design and you will be featured in an upcoming challenge this year!

This week, you are given the task of making a postcard!  I have joined various postcard swaps and mingles over the years on OSA.  Here is one I made two years ago.  The directions to make this postcard can be found here. You do not need to make one like mine, but it gives you an idea.  The size of the postcard I made is 1/4 of a regular sized 8.5″ by 11″ paper.

This week’s card challenge was recommended by an OSA member.  She admired a card that was posted on the group and emailed me to let me know she thought it would make a good challenge layout.  I agreed!  This card was made by Rli for the Fish and Chips mingle.  Look carefully at the main image and how it is stamped on four small squares.  It’s pretty cool!  Let’s see what you can do!

Card Layout Challenge #243

How about making a cute Asian mini bag?  I found this project on Silvey’s Craftroom.  There is a tutorial to go along with the project.  The tutorial has paper sizes listed, score lines and pictures to follow.  If you can’t see the score line measurements, click here.  Click on the image to make it bigger or use your browser under VIEW to zoom in.

This bag looks complicated, but you only need an 11″ x 8.5 paper!  Of course, you need to make it Asian!  I have linked their bag project image to our blog entry this week.
