Card Layout Challenge #250

Happy Thanksgiving week! This will be a very busy week for most of you, so here is a quick card to make.  I found this card at Crafter’s Companion Information blog.  If you have any scraps, this might be the card to use some of them.  Let’s see what you can do.

****Remember, your card design must be oriental in nature. There must be at least one stamped item on your card.

I invite you to create a card using this week’s challenge. Upload it to your personal photo album.  This can be an OSA gallery album, an OSA Yahoo! Photo album, Flickr, PictureTrail, etc.  Then post a link to your artwork HERE in the comments section when you have completed our challenge.  Or, you can also post a link to your artwork on OSA. Come back on Sunday to see who has taken the challenge this week!

Do you want your design featured?  Just email me (Sonia E.) your original design and you will be featured in an upcoming challenge this year!

This week’s challenge is of a card that is a horizontal, not a vertical layout  like most of our challenges.  Although this card was made using the Dreamweaver stencil and paste, you do not have to do that.  I am only looking at the card layout that I want you to do.  I love the colors.  Let’s see what you can do!

For this week’s challenge you will need ribbon and embellishments.  The card below is from Eclectic Paperie.  The blog entry can be found here.  BTW, the script on the left side of the image is upside down.

Your task is to make a card like this with a central image, the two squares on the right with embellishments and a ribbon–as shown.  Too bad I didn’t see this in April when it’s Washington, D.C. celebrates the Cherry Blossom Festival.

Card Layout Challenge #247

This week’s challenge we will try making a specific shape card  and designing it.  You will be making triptych cards. There are various shapes for the triptych, so find on you like and have fun making it.  The example I have here is actually an ATC made into one variation of a triptych card.  I chose it because it is what I am looking for in terms of the general card design, Asian flavor, and the triptych shape.  The card is a link from Clare’s Cards and Other Crafty Bits blog.

Here are various templates from which you can choose.  The most common ones are towards the top.  Visit the websites and download the templates.  Most are free. PLEAS NOTE:  I would like the cards to have an opening in the front as if you were opening two sides of a door.
