Card Layout Challenge #283

This week’s card layout was found on Pinterest.  Take a look here.  It is also found on Splitcoaststampers.  The card itself is masculine, but I am not asking you to do a masculine card.  You are to make a card with the card’s layout.  It’s mostly layered.

Please make sure there is at least ONE stamped image on the front of the card.  Let’s see what you can do.

****Remember, your card design must be oriental in nature. There must be at least one stamped item on the front of your card.

I invite you to create a card using this week’s challenge. Upload it to your personal photo album. This can be an OSA gallery album, an OSA Yahoo! Photo album, Flickr, PictureTrail, etc. Then post a link to your artwork HERE in the comments section when you have completed our challenge. Or, you can also post a link to your artwork on OSA. Come back on Sunday to see who has taken the challenge this week!

Do you want your design featured? Just email me (Sonia E.) your original design and you will be featured in an upcoming challenge this year!

Card Layout Challenge #282

This week’s card layout challenge should be simple and quick!  The card layout I found and liked this week is from the blog Stampin with Joanna.  The card can be found here.  Notice that there are four squares (perfect to use your square punches), but one is tilted.  Let’s see what you can do!

****Remember, your card design must be oriental in nature. There must be at least one stamped item on the front of your card.

Card Layout Challenge #281

This week’s challenge is to create a card with an oriental COLLAGE design.  Here is an example of collage design created by Kris Dickinson of Nostalgic Collage blog:

http://nostalgiccollage.blogspot.com/2010/04/sunday-postcard-art-challenge-oriental.html

Although the example was created using stamped images only, you  may use a combination of stamped images and digital images to create the collage design.  Other items you could incorporate in your design would be stickers, coins, brads, etc.

The Unruly Paper Arts blog has step-by-step pictures of an oriental collaged ATC.  You will be making a card and not an ATC, but you can use the info provided in this blog to help you create it.

Card Layout Challenge #280

In May, Margo sent in a suggestion for a box card.  Her idea was different than what we have done in the past.  Margo sent along written directions which can be found below.  I have also included links to video tutorials and picture step-by-step tutorials found on various blogs.  Your box card must be oriental themed.
