Card Layout Challenge #296

This week’s challenge can be found on the Crafting Cottage blog.  Here is the card layout you are to use this week.  Notice there are three layers, one on top of the other.  There is also some pearls-type bling, as well as cut outs (dies or punches would also work).

****Remember, your card design must be oriental in nature. There must be at least one stamped item on your card.

I invite you to create a card using this week’s challenge. Upload it to your personal photo album.  This can be an OSA gallery album, an OSA Yahoo! Photo album, Flickr, PictureTrail, etc.  Then post a link to your artwork HERE in the comments section when you have completed our challenge.  Or, you can also post a link to your artwork on OSA. Come back on Sunday to see who has taken the challenge this week!

Do you want your design featured?  Just email me (Sonia E.) your original design and you will be featured in an upcoming challenge this year!

Card Layout Challenge #295

This time last year, I had autumn colors for the weekly challenge.  I am going to do this again.  I found a gorgeous kimono from the Edo Period on Japonesices on Tumblr.

The fall colors are vibrant.  If you look carefully, the design it looks like one of the stamps by Art Neko.  You may do any design layout, but with the fall colors as shown.

Card Layout Challenge #294

This week’s layout is SUPER easy and SUPER fast!  It is a card that will feature those beautiful washi or designer papers you have stashed, but hate to use! It might take longer to decide on the paper than to make the card!  Michelle Lupton created the card you will use for your inspiration this week.  Her blog is called Handmade by Michelle.  The card can be found here.  You can embellish the card using flower punches as shown, or be creative!  Please keep the card LANDSCAPE as in the sample.

****Remember, your card design must be ORIENTAL in nature. There must be at least ONE stamped item on the FRONT of your card.

Simple design!  This week’s card layout is one small image, cut in three sections, layered on white.  The card was made by Birgit, whose blog is called Pyssloteket.  You can find her card here.  This week, you the image must be cut as shown and must be layered on white as shown.  The white will make it more difficult, I know!
