Card Layout Challenge #257

Let’s do something clean and simple, AND one-layered, AND less than 10 minutes! Here is a one layered card that only uses two stamps and has two lines drawn by hand using a ruler, I suppose!  There will be a bit of masking as well.  The card is by Julie Smith from the Paper and Such blog.  I found the card on Pinterest, but was unable to find it on her blog.  The link is to the Splitcoast gallery.

To do this card, stamp the text on the lower part of the card.  Let dry before drawing a line above and below the text.  Mask this whole section, including the lines.   Stamp an image, vegetation seems to work well, but you decide. The image should go above and below the masked area.  This card is a sympathy card, but you may certainly use any text stamp.

****Remember, your card design must be oriental in nature. There must be at least one stamped item on your card.

I invite you to create a card using this week’s challenge. Upload it to your personal photo album.  This can be an OSA gallery album, an OSA Yahoo! Photo album, Flickr, PictureTrail, etc.  Then post a link to your artwork HERE in the comments section when you have completed our challenge.  Or, you can also post a link to your artwork on OSA. Come back on Sunday to see who has taken the challenge this week!

Do you want your design featured?  Just email me (Sonia E.) your original design and you will be featured in an upcoming challenge this year!

Here’s my card for this week.
Yahoo did not let me upload, so I used my Flickr!
