Card Layout Challenge #306

This week’s challenge will be due on Saturday.  I will be traveling out of the country on Sunday, so I will need this week to wrap up the day before I leave.

The card I saw for this week’s challenge can be found at Michele Kovack’s blog,  Thoughts of a Cardmaking Scrapbooker!  Michelle made a card that looks like it is made from one half of a circle piece of paper, which was then folded in half. The open edge side was cut with a scalloped pair of scissors.  Take a look here for the card.  I am NOT asking you to make the card with all these embellishments.  I am only asking you to make the card the same shape, including designer cut edges (any scissors shape).  I think it would be best if the final card has the same length and width measurements.

****Remember, your card design must be oriental in nature. There must be at least one stamped item on your card.

I invite you to create a card using this week’s challenge. Upload it to your personal photo album.  This can be an OSA gallery album, an OSA Yahoo! Photo album, Flickr, PictureTrail, etc.  Then post a link to your artwork HERE in the comments section when you have completed our challenge.  Or, you can also post a link to your artwork on OSA. Come back on Sunday to see who has taken the challenge this week!

Do you want your design featured?  Just email me (Sonia E.) your original design and you will be featured in an upcoming challenge this year!

This week’s card was found on Pinterest (again).  Great artwork over there!  It is by Marie Oberg on her blog, Ink’d Wings.  Take a look at her card here.  You will need circle dies, ribbon, brads, and a main image.  Please make sure that your card layout looks like the layout of the card.

Card Layout Challenge #303

Welcome to our 2015 weekly Card Challenges!  I am hoping and looking for MORE participation of our members.  I am also looking for suggestions for card layouts.  Like a card’s layout?  Send me a link and I’ll see if I can make it into a weekly challenge!

Now that the holidays are over, I decided you’d be interested in a little challenge.  This week, you are asked to do a teepee card. It is also known as a pyramid card. Here are some links for card images and tutorials to do this type of card.

2014 in Review for OSA Challenges

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 20,000 times in 2014. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 7 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.
