Just a reminder, there will be no new challenges until Sunday, January 5, 2014.  Happy Holidays to you all! Please send card layouts of your OWN design!

Card Layout Challenge #253

Take out your circular punches!  I pinned this card a while back on Pinterest.  It’s from the Nice People Stamp blog.  I loved it when I first saw it.  You can make the card in any color, but notice how the punches are different shades of one color.  Which cardstock you choose (solid vs design), is up to you.  There should be at least one stamped image.  If you are on Facebook, you can also see her holiday  version.

****Remember, your card design must be oriental in nature. There must be at least one stamped item on your card.

I invite you to create a card using this week’s challenge. Upload it to your personal photo album.  This can be an OSA gallery album, an OSA Yahoo! Photo album, Flickr, PictureTrail, etc.  Then post a link to your artwork HERE in the comments section when you have completed our challenge.  Or, you can also post a link to your artwork on OSA. Come back on Sunday to see who has taken the challenge this week!

Do you want your design featured?  Just email me (Sonia E.) your original design and you will be featured in an upcoming challenge this year!

Card Layout Challenge #252

Well, I went surfing the net and came across this beauty.  I believe it is an ATC, but I am sure that you have geisha stamps that are large enough for a central image. When you do this card, I am looking for a true representation of the card — a main image of an Asian female,  script background, and a lantern or lanterns.  There is some layering as well.  The image is from Sara’s Sueños blog. If you know who makes the stamp LMK.  I didn’t see it on the blog.

Card Layout Challenge #251

A year ago, I posted the following challenge referring to the holidays.  I am repeating this challenge, as I will in future years around this time (SHOULD we continue to have challenges!).

This week we prepare for the holidays.  Many members send oriental themed cards to friends during this time period.  Your challenge this week is to create a holiday inspired oriental card.  The card does not have to say Merry Christmas on it. The focus is on what this time of year means to you, your wishes to others, etc.

I am not looking for Chinese New Year’s cards at this time (that will be later).  However, you can create a card about the regular new year celebration of Jan. 1st.

****Remember, your card design must be oriental in nature. There must be at least one stamped item on your card.
