Card Layout Challenge #288

Remember the Shadow Stamps made by Hero Arts oh so many years ago?  They looked like this. Then you would stamp over it.  Well the card I pinned a while ago on Pinterest has that type of stamp and a simple brush image stamped over it.  Again, I could find no blog nor artist name for this card.  If you know it, please let me know so I can give proper credit.  Your challenge this week is to create a card like this…one layered, using a shadow type stamp first then overstamped with a simple image.

****Remember, your card design must be ORIENTAL in nature. There must be at least ONE stamped item on the FRONT of your card.

I invite you to create a card using this week’s challenge. Upload it to your personal photo album. This can be an OSA gallery album, an OSA Yahoo! Photo album, Flickr, PictureTrail, etc. Then post a link to your artwork HERE in the comments section when you have completed our challenge. Or, you can also post a link to your artwork on OSA. Come back on Sunday to see who has taken the challenge this week!

Do you want your design featured? Just email me (Sonia E.) your original design and you will be featured in an upcoming challenge this year!

Card Layout Challenge #287

This week’s card is fast and easy.  One image, cut into squares, embossed layered background and there you have it!  I couldn’t find who made this card.  I followed the link from Pinterest and ended on a Yahoo! page in Chinese.  There is no blog attached to it, nor an artist’s name.  Follow the link here to take a look at this week’s inspiration!

Card Layout Challenge #286

This week’s challenge is a good one to use up remnants strips of papers.  It is similar to Challenge #239, but not the same.  The card can be found on the blog Simplicity by Susan Raihala.  The image can be found here.  I am asking that you use any kind of strips to make a weaving in a RECTANGULAR form, not a square.  The card is very minimal and a short stamped phrase would be appropriate.  If you want to do your own paper as Susan did, she has included directions and pictures.  Let’s see what you can do!

Card Layout Challenge #285

I found cute card today while visiting various blogs.  The card was made by Anne H. who has a blog called Everlasting Ink.  Her Cherry Blossoms card looks like a fun one I thought we could do as a challenge!

Please make sure there is at least ONE stamped image on the front of the card.  Let’s see what you can do.

Card Layout Challenge #284

This week, I found a card layout inspiration from one of our own.  Margo S. sent one of our members a RAK.  This card’s layer is unique in that there are three flowers repeated on the bottom of the card.  Your task is to make a card in landscape form where you have three flowers repeated at the bottom.  You may use stamped images for the flowers or flower embellishments.

Please make sure there is at least ONE stamped image on the front of the card.  Let’s see what you can do.
