Card Layout Challenge #265

This week’s challenge was suggested by Shaz in Oz. Shaz received a birthday card from her friend, Joyce, who lives in N. Ireland.  See below for the card and suggestions on how to make it. The pieces are a punched circles which were then folded into squares. The washi paper is outside for some and inside for others.  Notice there are also some embellishments inside some.  You do not need to have the exact number of squares.  You may have more or less.  I think more would look better, but who knows?

Suggestions to create the card:
•Use thin wrapping paper or washi paper for the design part of the card. Washi might work better.
•Try not pasting the design paper onto the cardstock.
•Instead you can use a circle punch 1 1/2 ” for the circles. Then you could punch out a 1″ square, setting the square into the circle.
Use the bone folder to fold the sides.
Take out the square and burnish more.
Decide if your card needs a layer underneath.
This might be a good challenge to use up your scraps.

****Remember, your card design must be oriental in nature. There must be at least one stamped item on your card.

I invite you to create a card using this week’s challenge. Upload it to your personal photo album.  This can be an OSA gallery album, an OSA Yahoo! Photo album, Flickr, PictureTrail, etc.  Then post a link to your artwork HERE in the comments section when you have completed our challenge.  Or, you can also post a link to your artwork on OSA. Come back on Sunday to see who has taken the challenge this week!

Do you want your design featured?  Just email me (Sonia E.) your original design and you will be featured in an upcoming challenge this year!
